Hello Friends,
This may be a silly question.
I am hoping to set up Talkback on our Avantis without taking up an input channel. Everything seems clear and I have seen sect. 10.20 in the Firmware Guide that describes how to assign Talkback to various busses.
What I don’t see is a button for the ME.
If I use an input channel, I can assign Talkback to the MEs on the I/O page.
But I’m hoping to set up a “true” Talkback channel to the MEs and save an input channel.
How can I assign Talkback to our ME1s?
I’ll do a “doh” headslap if there is an obvious solution I’m missing…
Thanks!
David
I have talkback assigned to a soft key. It is not taking up a channel.
Thanks, Buck, for your response.
Alas, I’m having no luck… when I go to Setup>Soft Keys, I can choose Talkback or Talkback Assign.
The first has no routing option and the second lists many busses (Mono/Stereo Group, mono/Stereo Aux, etc…), but no option to route to an ME1.
Are you sending talkback to ME1s (ie. IEMs)?
If so, can you be more specific about how you set that up on your soft key?
I have a group that I have labeled Talkback, I send the talk back, Mic to that. It does not use up an input channel. I also have another talk back. Coming from one of the musicians who gives extra cues And information. They have a foot switch which switches between their vocal. Mic and use that same Mic sending it to talk back. Only the musicians can hear. As you’ve already found out, the group can easily be assigned to the MEs
this is what I want to do. Group called Talkback. the FOH Talkback mic, the Drummer TB mic, and Music Director TB mic all go to that group. haven’t set it up yet.
Thank you MrV!!
This is very helpful… I’ll give it a shot!
Thanks SQ… much appreciated!
