I’d like to be able to choose a bus for a talkback source. Either a group or matrix would be perfect. I’m a keen user of the reset + mix buttons on festivals and this is obviously detrimental to having multiple sources (channels) for TTS.
Can you explain a bit more?
So the bus as an external in is overridden by the talkback system within. Currently i have all other TTS going to a bus, then that bus sent to all stage mixes in the conventional manner, this is muted at the group by one softkey. But i also have my own TTS using the talkback system on another softkey, so have control of who is talking to stage at a given point.
When I use the reset + mix button during changeovers (particularly after the less conventional bands) it obviously wipes all of this group to aux routing.
Now I’ve written that out I can see a workaround that would work using mute groups. Don’t know why that’s taken me 3 years, but would remove any use of the talkback system.
But as an aside, bus to talkback system would enable chat to individual mixes, so I would still consider it a worthy inclusion.
It makes sense in my head, and for my use case as primarily a festival monitor engineer with multiple bands each day. Ultimately it’s just more flexibility.
You could use a scene to wipe the mixes, except the group to aux assignements, instead of mix reset.
