It would really rock to have the saturation of tape live. An emulation of a tap machine, or mastering tape would be incredible.

I’d suggest to test out a great 2" 16 track like the MCI’s… Fat and round!
As well as the 1/4" 2track… Love the MCI JH110 WITHOUT xformers… Ampex is also a great machine as well as the studer 820 (if you want a newer one).
