I’d love to see a tape saturation effect similar to Strymon’s Deco or UA’s Oxide Tape available for output busses.
I would agree with @AllanNicholl,
Definitely, it would be a great improvement if CQ mixers provided tape saturation, especially with the ability to use third-party plugins like UA’s Oxide or Studer emulations. The analog warmth is something very important.
Beyond just color, tape-style processing is a practical mixing tool: it can add presence and punch, tame harsh transients, and enhance clarity in complex mixes — all without raising levels or overloading channels.
For live performance and small-venue setups — which CQ often serves — having this option would significantly expand creative flexibility while keeping the workflow fast and intuitive.
Bringing such an effect into CQ, in a way that respects its compact and portable design, would be a meaningful step forward for musicians and engineers alike.
