I just purchased a CQ -18T, and I am enjoying it. The one feature that would make it the COOLEST PIECE OF GEAR on the planet is if it had a guitar amp/bass amp simulation plug-in (Sans Amp/Line 6). You would sell these like hot cakes!!! Just saying…
I can dream can’t I???
Greetings from Santa Fe, NM!!
This is available on my Soundcraft Ui12. It would be great if they can add it to the CQ range as well. I basically just use my Ui12 every now and then when my son wants to use the guitar pre-amps.
Come on A&H. If Soundcraft can do it, I’m sure you can do it better.

Boof, just buy a DY with Cab emulator.
It’s a cool idea but it would have to actually sound good in practice. My FM9 totally crushes the modeling that was built into the UI24R. There’s also the issue of the lack of high-Z inputs.

Agreed. I won’t say No to a feature, but IMO there’s no point having a half-hearted implementation. The DigiTech amp models on a Soundcraft are very meh. It takes an enormous amount of processing power (Fractal) to make an amp model sound good.
I am right there, I think it could have at least passable speaker emulation. This would save me having to connect it to an amp’s cab. My friend’s ancient accordion-centric mixer has decent guitar and bass amp sims, so all I do is bring a preamp box and use his clean “Fender amp” sims.
