I’d like to raise a point regarding the CQ firmware development direction, as this has been on my mind for some time now.
As far as I can see, the last firmware update was released around 9 months ago. In that time, there have been numerous feature requests from users — many of which are not niche or experimental, but rather widely used tools already present in other mixers within this class.
These include, for example:
side-chain / ducking functionality
more advanced dynamics processing (e.g. dynamic EQ concepts)
improved routing and workflow flexibility
What stands out is that this is not coming from isolated requests — there is a consistent pattern across multiple threads, with different users describing very similar needs based on real-world use.
CQ is a uniquely positioned product: extremely portable, intuitive, and capable. That’s exactly why many of us rely on it in demanding scenarios — live performance, small venues, hybrid setups, and mobile workflows.
Precisely because of that, the absence of certain key tools becomes more noticeable over time, not as “extra features,” but as natural extensions of an already strong platform.
This is not meant as criticism, but as constructive feedback from users who actively rely on the system and would like to see it evolve further in line with modern workflows.
It would be really valuable to hear whether there is an ongoing roadmap for CQ firmware development, and how user feedback like this is being considered moving forward.
