Touch screen don't works properly on QU24

Hi everywhere (sorry for my English, I’m speaking usually French).

I have a problem with my touch screen on QU24 :
The touch screen don’t works during 3 to 5 minutes after I make the power on of QU24.
After few minutes, it’s beginning to work correctly step by step at beginning the center of the screen.
I have make an hard reset and I have the firmware 1.9.4537… but it’s don’t work better
After 5 minutes, it’s working without problem.

Have you an idea for help me?

Thank you very much

there is nothing you or anyone can do to fix it other than having it repaired at an Allen & Heath repair center.
Is it still under warranty?

Thank you for your prompt response.

How long is the QU24 guaranteed?

Almost certainly depends on your local legislation.
Given that it’s pretty likely a hardware failure I’d talk to your retailer…

Normal warranty is a year IIRC - the manual should tell you.

I bought the QU 24 in Belgium from XLR two years ago and give 1 year warranty.
I should have bought it from Thomann, I would have had 3 years warranty.

Thank you for your answers

Don’t know what the rules are in Belgium - but in the UK you have legal rights which are often well in excess of those advertised as a warranty.

If the screen has failed in normal use (i.e. no signs of impact of anything like that) then you should be able to get a repair/replacement…

There is no impact or claw on the screen, it is like new.
The replacement of the screen costs 188 € excluding tax and labor cost.
If I even go to justice, lawyers fees will be higher … so is made the Belgian law

Vivian: from whom did you buy your mixer ?

Giga

It’s worth asking the vendor - good will on your part may well be more valuable to them than a faulty screen…

Yes, I know but they do not understand it like that. I asked and I had as answer: no longer under warranty, 188 € for screen + labor cost… it’s all
And all this without any previous analysis … and if it was something else like the power supply that would not provide enough voltage for 5 minutes? An electrolytic capacitor?
At first, I am an electronics technician, there are test points everywhere to check before making a diagnosis … but that, I will never have the info  or so, it is a known problem … .

@Giga : I bought it at XLR Belgium – https://www.xlrpro.eu

Thx for your help
