So my chuch uses a sq5 for all the sound stuff and I want to control it when i am out and around but the app is not showing the sq5. I have made sure im using the right network, the sq5 is connected to the network and in a router. I have tried entering the ip address manually and that isn’t working either. I have tried basically everything I could think of. It’s there anything else I could try?
99 times out of 100, connection issues like this come down to a network problem. The most common problem is that the two devices are simply not on the same network subnet. I would suggest that your triple check that the assigned IP address of each device (the console and the mobile device/computer you want to run SQ-Mixpad app on) are in the same subnet and not two different subnets. You will have to go into the network settings of each device to see what IP address the device is using. If they are not on the same network subnet (ie the first three octets of the network address are the same - like 192.168.1.x) then that is the problem.
The other 1% of the time, it is usually a firmware/software version mismatch.
Unfortunately, we do not know which device you are using.
If it is an iPad, the issue also might be due its security settings.
I read that you might need to grant permission under “Privacy and Security - Local Network - SQ MixPad”.
