Unrelated sockets affecting each other’s pads

Well this is odd… if I unpad the violin mic on channel 47 using socket 3 of our DX168 (plugged into port 2 of our DX hub, which in turn is plugged into a gigaAce card in slot 2 of our MixRack), the headset mic on channel 62 using socket 54 of our DM64 gets unpadded as well. At first I thought it was just one channel, but I’ve noticed it on a few channels now. The gains aren’t connected, just the pads.

The channels aren’t ganged, grouped, or linked in any way that I can find. They aren’t even the same socket numbers (like, if it was socket 1 on the MixRack and socket 1 on I/O port 2, then the connection is clear, but that’s not what’s happening).

Anyone got any ideas? I can deal with the glitch for now, but this could cause some pretty major problems if I have to unpad something live for some reason and an unrelated open channel suddenly gets 20 dB louder, and has already caused feedback during soundcheck.

I’ve tried power cycling the system and reloading the show file. Not sure what else to try… if I saw anything about it in the firmware release notes, I might chance updating the day before the show, but I don’t think there’s anything addressing this.

DM64, S5000, FW 2.00

I would suggest openening a ticket with A&H support to let them double check your show file. They are really very helpful in that respect.

I would suggest a firmware update.

The firmware update seems to have fixed it. Thanks!
