Update mixrack without surface??

How do I do an fw update to the mixrack without the surface?
and will the surface get the new update the next time I connect them??

In the knowledgebase for dLive you find an article explaining firmware update via browser.
Surface won’t pull the firmware from mixrack as far as I understand it (I never owned one). Use a thumbdrive on site to install firmware separately at a later time.
