USB break music playback

I haven’t purchased the cq20b as of yet, I need to know if I can play recorded music during a band break. This could be done easily with a UI24

Theoretically yes, but not nearly as much as you are used to internally from UI and rightly expect here.
MP3? No!
The rudimentary possibility of a CQ is to be able to play only the following WAV files from a stick formatted with FAT32:
Mono/stereo, 44.1/48/96kHz, 16/24bit, and only from the special folder AHCQ\USBPLAY.
For everything else you have to use an external device.

I would advise using Bluetooth or hardwire a device which already has playback material loaded onto it. The built in WAV player is limited at best.

I use it for the purpose of playinging tracks to tune the system and for walk on/off music, nothing more.

Yeah - no issue adding the phone as BT sound source (yes, also while using CQ app or Mixing Station to control) - plus you can simply change sounds without getting to the device on stage. Good waves ~ M.

I find the internal CQ SD card protocol much better than any of the the A&H USB for these purposes. Try it, it works like a charm with postage stamp sized memory cards.
