USB-Connection not working

Hi
I can’t connect my new Xone:24c mixing desk to a laptop. I’ve tried various combinations but haven’t been able to establish a connection:

  • Latest version of Windows with the Allen & Heath driver installed (USB-C to USB-A)
  • an old MacBook Pro (USB-C to USB-A)
  • a new MacBook Pro (USB-C to USB-C)

On the Xone:24c, I’ve used the white USB-C port on the back.
I used different cables each time and tested them beforehand with a mobile phone to check that they were data cables.
Does anyone have any advice on what else I could try? Do I need to adjust any settings on the mixing desk? Update the firmware or something similar?
I’d be very grateful for any advice, as I’d like to record mixes (analogue with turntables) on my computer.

Hi @alex2

If you’re still experiencing issues with establishing a connection between the mixer and your host Mac system, one simple check you can make - if you also use a smartphone, is to confirm if the phone will charge when connected it to either of mixer’s USB C Hub-ports?
