USB Driver disappeared - CQ20

I was doing a demo workshop yesterday and had Cubase running on my windows 11 laptop. I had the setup running for 3 hours with some multitracks on loop so I could demo some basic audio mixing. Suddenly the USB driver gave up and I lost connection. Did the usual trouble shooting by rebooting everything, re installing the driver that I had saved , rebooting again but no joy.

I gave up and only when I went home and re downloaded the same release of driver and installed it, it started working again.

Any ideas? Thanks

I have had the USB driver disappear 3-4 times with iPad m3 connected. Tried connecting my MacBook m1 just after to see if it was the iPad. No luck. Tried unplugging cq20, for 5 seconds, reboot, an connect. No lock. Unplugged for 10-20 seconds, rebooted, now it came back to live (usb connection). Something is shaky here

I have now used an ‘Anker TB5’ dock for 2 weeks. iPad Air m3 with usb connection. And it seems to have made things stable. Played 4 gigs. And used 5 days experimenting at home, unplugging, and provoviking the setup. (AUM with 4 plugins, and Stagetraxx 4). But all seems fine. Will report back if shakiness returns. Have also since discovered that, on my old ‘Satechi 4 ports usb C hub’, only one port seemed stable for audio. So perhaps many problems comes from USB hubs? And not from CQ
