I remember this being a feature on the GLD and I miss it.
I just had a little wireless USB keyboard connected and shoved somewhere on the desk. Much quicker and more accurate than the onscreen keyboard, particularly for initial setup.

This is possible with GLD as it uses an SBC, unfortunately it is not possible with SQ as SQ-Drive is for data/audio only (so it cannot pass the keyboard messages).
