I find myself using both the USB B port for both MIDI and USB Audio to a camera; The issue is I can’t use them both at the same time. My USB A port is available and not currently in use. Would like to be able to have USB MIDI over USB-A or allow it to be configurable.
You can use an USB hub.
The CQ20 USB B port acts as a client port and would not normally work with a USB hub. Do you actually have an example of this working?
I actually use a USB powered hub to combine the CQ, my iPad or my MacBook and an external midi controller (and charging the device in the same time).
It works fine.
Got it, the CQ and external midi controller are acting as devices with the iPad or MacBook as hosts.
My requirements are a bit different. I have a MorningStart MC8 Pro acting as a host, my CQ usb B as MIDI and I would also like the USB audio from the CQ to go to a DJI camera. Since the CQ and the DJI camera are both acting as devices, they would not be able to communicate when using the CQ MIDI going to my MC8 Pro.
This is where I am lost. I didn’t know that DJI cam were able to get audio in from USB.
What cam is it exactly ?
Using the DJI Osmo 4, connected directly to the USB port. I record all my shows.
