I am a sound engineer and very often experience the situation that I have to play back music or other stuff that belong to the show. It is very good that the Avantis now supports mp3 and flac. However, I absolutely wish that in the USB_Audio folder, self-created order structures are recognized. With a large number of titles, it is very difficult to keep track of them without an order structure.
+1
I noticed that the system automatically numbers the files on the USB drives. Perhaps you can try and edit those numbers to change the order in which they display?
Not sure if it’s a good idea but it’s worth a try, carefully, with some test files ![]()
The numbering system is the solution I’m currently using. All topics are numbered from 0 to 1000. I sort the topics in increments of 100. It works, but it’s still much worse than a folder structure. I hope Allen-Heath incorporates this small but important feature. It’s frustrating to think that every 20-year-old Behringer device has this feature.
Hi. Could you explain how to insert MP3 files into the USB drive? I recently got Avantis and I saw that it can read MP3s. Does it create folders like in sq or qu when I insert the USB drive?
