Not grounding noise at all. It is a digital “beeeep” about a 500-800 hz that disapears when reset USB drive on the mixer by changing sample rate or stereo-multitrack mode, and then works again -for a while, or may be all night-
Yeah. It’s digital. But charger is causing it for me
I’ve had my CQ12T for almost a year and am once again struggling to use it with a computer…same thing, works for a bit and then stops…solution reboot the mixer…it is a shame, because, otherwise this is a great all-round machine. it works fine for live use…I keep hoping for a firmware solution. Mac just updated to 15.4.1 last night, and that did not help the issue one bit.
I’ve had this issue for months too - really annoying that streaming from Mac (Sequoia) locks up often. From what I’ve read, downgrade from 1.2.1 to 1.2 will resolve the issue. I have found a simpler workaround than restarting to restore connection. I simply toggle streaming mode between stereo & multitrack (I configured channels 9/10 as USB input in multitrack mode, or you can just toggle twice back to stereo). Sometimes you get some latency in audio (seems due to the buffer filling when bus is locked up). I just wish the bug in 1.2.1 could be fixed!
I have the same issue with the same symptoms. Running Firmware 1.2.1 on Sequoia 15.5
Really worrisome to see major bugs like this being ignored. I’m still within my return period…
Just to reassure folk that the bugs aren’t being ignored, we’re working on resolutions for a future software release.
Brand new CQ-12T owner as of July 1. Unboxed it on July 2 and connected to the desktop app on my MacBook Air M4 (Sequoia 15.5). Was notified that a new firmware build was available, so upgraded the firmware first thing out of the box to 1.20.1. Now it’s Thursday afternoon and my first opportunity to dig in and get it all configured for the way I work. I have the mixer set to stream the computer and system audio to channels 9 and 10.
After 45 minutes, the system had locked up three different times. All three times required me to power cycle the mixer to get it unlocked and the audio working again. The second time it locked up, it played a very loud buzzing noise pretty loudly through the whole system.
I’ve tried two different USB cables and two different USB connections to my recording studio Mac mini M2 Pro (also Sequoia 15.5), and still having issues. It happens when I try and switch from YouTube to MainStage then over to iTunes and also to my DJ app (DEX4).
I’m looking forward to using it, and it sounds amazing. And I don’t want to have to return it and get a refund. I’ve already owned the Behringer X Air both the stage box and the traditional mixer form factor as well as the Mackie stage box mixer. So I’m not some newbie to digital mixers with touchscreen interfaces.
I hope I can get some resolution to this issue ASAP and appreciate anyone else’s thoughts on how to make this bulletproof. I can’t afford unreliability at the venue where I play. Suffice it to say this place is chuck full of millionaires and sports club owners. I can’t afford hardware failure, especially in front of any of them. Thanks again!
