Hi,

Any input? I want to avoid summing mono and getting phasing issues on mono aux mixes. Sending half stereo is fine for stage monitors, but I want to retain stereo for the front of house.
There won’t be phasing issue if you send your stereo mix into a mono aux.
The summing is done internally and what come out of the AUX is a balanced mono mix.

That really doesn’t matter. The potential phasing issues caused by summing will be completely dependant on the source itself. For example, if your stereo source was a sine wave at 1000hz and one side had it’s polarity reversed vs the other side, you would have complete cancellation and you would hear absolutely nothing in your mono mix. That may seem like an extreme situation, but it isn’t all that uncommon to have “stereo” sources that are actually very close or even identical signals on both the L and R, and then you are only one miswired connection or improper setting away from having severe cancelation in your signal.
