Using an AR2412 does the whole desk run 48k

Hi,

I have an AR2412 im using on my QU32. If i use this does the whole desk then run at 48k or just what goes through the stage box run 48k? and what goes in local at 96k

I assume that a QU can only (sample) 48 kHz locally.

Sorry i mean connected on the SQ? if i have the AR2412 connected does the SQ desk then run at 48k?

Im currently using the AR2412 on a QU but switching to an SQ7

Ah, no - the SQ always runs at 96k - also with your connected AR2412.

I have an AR2412 and an AB168 running on an SQ6. So the Boxes run at 48 kHz, the Desk (and it inputs) on 96kHz. I record 32 Channels with 48kHz on SQ Drive. No Problem due to sampling rates so far.

Of course, you get the longer latencies and less bandwidth of the 48 kHz Inputs, but if that is no Problem for you (the bandwidth limitation shouldn’t be one if you have human ears, maybe if you are a dog) it will work fine.
