Using the Auto-Gain feature with Di or Preamp

On the CQ-18T, is it worthwhile to use the auto gain feature if the instrument I’m plugging in is using a Di/preamp?
For example, a band member uses an LR Baggs DI/Preamp for her fiddle. Should I NOT use the auto gain feature on the CQ and just let all the gain come from the connected DI/Preamp?

Even though the above is also a preamp, you still need to set the channel gain in the CQ, so yes, let the auto gain do it’s thing unless you wish to set it manually. You will need to make sure that the output volume on the DI isn’t set too hot.
