I love the new features in version 2.01 but it displays channel library names with more clipped characters than in previous versions. Please refer to the attachment which shows the input channels library window compared to the Utilities library management window.
Can the programmer adjust the window a little wider?
This was a complete dealbreaker for me. I had to downgrade all of our desks back to 1.9 because of this problem. We have hundreds of libraries and most of them use a quite long naming convention. We are holding off on v2 and the new rack ultra card until this gets resolved.
Yes! This is irksome for my engineers as well. Allen & Heath, please fix this.
It looks like the name clipping issue hasn’t been addressed in version 2.02, or at least in dLive Director is what I checked.
Is a support ticket necessary for A&H to acknowledge this as an issue?
And again, the name clipping problem is present in version 2.03.
Version 2.11 and still no fix. I find it strange that A&H doesn’t seem to understand the logic of designing the GUI while adhering to a simple Venn Diagram. The window heading says “Input Channel” and yet they insist upon displaying “Input” on every line (which takes up valuable space).
I realize that there is another potential label that contains the word “Legacy” in the name, but why not truncate the name only for just that scenario and instead allow the entire line to be used to display the preset name when it is a regular input channel?
This is a rhetorical question since it seems obvious that nobody on the dev team reads this forum.
The whole file system is pretty much DOS style. ![]()
