Until very recently most quality audio gear manufacturers were of the opinion that no particular advantage was inherent with USB3 over USB2. The RME folks felt that the relatively small digital packets involved with audio did not require the increased speed required by Video work. This has apparently been A&H’s opinion as well since all direct recording activity is USB 2.
To this end I have a GLYPH GPT50 1 TB usb2 external HD that Glyph tells me will be a good fit for 16 track recording in a SQ5 or my QUsb.
My Question is: (WHAT IS THE MAX DATA RATE PRODUCED BY THE SQ?)
This is very important info to have in matching the appropriate external Hard drive.
