Mine seems very long and wondering if it is abnormal.
With the mixrack already on, it takes 2:40 for the surface to boot.
s5000+dm64+dx168. Static IP not dhcp.

Seems long, ours takes about 45sec maybe
I haven’t really paid much attention really, but it most definitely is not that long.
Like Mslstudio22, I would have thought about 45-60 seconds at most. I’m not going to be near my s3000 for a few more days (quiet venue summer time) so can’t check.
Running s3000 + DM64U with whatever the default IP set-up is.
Once booted it does take a few more seconds to run through the screen tabs to get them loaded into system memory so there is no lag between screens, which I believe is an Allen & Heath thing since I have noticed it on all touring A&H consoles that come through, along with my personal SQ5. Which reminds me, even on any touring A&H console I have had come through, boot time is always a minute at most I would say regardless of the stage racks they connect to.
Pre-loading the screen tabs sounds like a good use for an action. Or if necessary, a bunch of actions, connected to scenes linked by embedded recall.
I can’t say I have ever experience lag on the tabs. Once it is up it is responsive.
I run a surfaceless system, so my interaction is always through the Director Software. I will say that I have a consistent lag the first time I try to click on the FX tab. The system will freeze for something like 5-10 seconds before it actually loads the FX screen. It happens every “first time” but it only happens one time. Any subsequent attempts to use the FX tab occur very quickly. I just recently noticed that it also happens when I press the Meters tab (something I obviously don’t do very often).
Because it only happens one time, I have to assume that the system loads the graphics into memory, but it doesn’t do that until you attempt to load the screen for the first time.
What is odd is that I don’t experience the same lag on any tabs except Meters and FX.
Yeah, definitely the most noticeable on Meters and FX screens.
Other screens are a little slower than they should be too I feel.
As said, only happens the first time after boot up, or after loading a new Show, if I recall.
I do also go through the tabs on the channel view screen to load them into memory too. Not sure if it helps with those, but it was something the dealer suggested when we unfortunately were doing a repair a week after purchase
