Can you please tell us when Dante card will be available?

Hello. First post here. My church is looking about to purchase an iLive system. According to our dealer, it looks like March. Wish it was already available, but I’m sure I’m not the only one. :wink:

Our church planned to use Dante to record our christmas production.

Didn’t happen for obvious reasons.

Now we plan to record our creative arts conference 3rd April.

If its not out before mid march im gonna crack it!

Likewise, a date would be great - I’m turning away work (I do a LOT of live recording) waiting for this to come out…

Hi All

We have just now received our Dante modules from Audinate. I would have expected that assuming there are no problems, we should be able to ship the first production batch of Dante cards by the end of the month. So your dealer’s estimate of March sounds realistic. I will reply again if this situation changes.

Remember guys, A&H arnt just putting someone else chipset on a card. If Audinate delay that shipment for whatever reason, A&H cant do anything at all about it. Also i would rather have them take their time to get this right. Whn you are doing your recording and there are glitches in the recording or whatever, or im my case the PA drops out, then everyone will be going…‘oh i wish they took longer to get it right’!

so just sit tight, when its ready, it will be ready.

I agree that we want it done right, but from Jeff’s post it seems they in fact already have the modules, so now it’s just delivery times I guess - I wait with baited breath!

Hi All

All being well, we are still looking at March. We are using a new Dante firmware version which has needed proper evaluation and systems testing before we are prepared to ship it out.

Just wanted to order it, but now my importer had to tell me that the price for the Dante card went up with approx 17%.

Without the least schadenfreude, I’m expecting there to be a welter of disappointment here once the mythical Dante card actually gets slotted into consoles around the world.

Our MADI system cost us around €2k, but it works PERFECTLY, with as much data being passed both ways as I could come up with! It’s stable, powerful and it’s so quick that I actually had to INTRODUCE some latency into the system, to make the Ivory samples play more realistically.

Audinate have certainly generated a lot of publicity and a mountain of expectation. I sincerely hope for all my colleagues that they deliver.

Sorry to be the one who delivers the bad new. I just called to get an update from A&H. Apparently Dante will not be shipping in the states till May. [:frowning_face: !]

I just had an email from Audinate prompting me to register for the iLive Dante webinar on the 30th of March for training based on the ‘imminent release’ of the card - here’s hoping the US distributor has their wires crossed (but I’m not hopeful) ;(

If you haven’t seen that email head over to Audinate and get yourself on their mailing list. There’ll be live webinars in 3 timezones.
