I am selling my QU16 and purchasing a SQ5. I currently have my QU16 in an SKB ‘pull up’ rack and I really like the weight and form of this case. What is available for the SQ5 that might be similar to the case I have?. I am also considering perhaps getting a full length combo flight case- so again, what recommendations do you have - thank you in advance!
Debbie … are you planning on keeping the mixer in the case during operation ?
I remove mine from the case, so the choices may be different. I began with a nice road case from SafeCase, but it weighs almost as much as the mixer. So, last year I found a sturdy but light TSA Gator case. This is quite a nice case in addition to being manageable.
Somehow, equipment seems to get heavier as I grow older !

Thanks spongebob…I would prefer to not have to remove the mixer at shows but I am open to anything of recommendation!
I have this one. It’s a little heavier than I’d like, but can either work with the mixer in the tray, or easily remove it.
I’ve been using this for several years, along with a folding shelf that can go with it. It may not be fully road worthy but I’m the only one who handles it. It has been great for me.

Thanks everyone. I am interested in the 1skb-R100 and I’m looking at the R102 also. I like the folding shelf option. I do like the lightweight aspect of the poly resin products and as I would be the only one moving the mixer from show to show, there is no need to go heavy duty really. However, the Gator cases are built tough although on the heavy side - still a consideration though. I have read that in order to get the SQ5 to fit the R100, I would have to purchase the SKB rails - NOT the Allen & Heath because the A&H version causes the console to sit too high in the case for the lid to fit. I haven’t purchased the rails yet so I need to keep this in mind.
