Has anyone had this problem?
Have you checked the patching on the other screens in case the conflict is there?
Are all your stagebozes connected and powered on?
AI suggests this:
A channel will show a red border when it is patched to something the desk cannot see or use right now, such as:
- A stagebox or I/O device that is disconnected or powered off
- A dSnake / SLink / Dante source that is not present
- A card slot or I/O port that isn’t installed or isn’t clocking
- A show file loaded without the required hardware attached
- A sample-rate or clocking mismatch causing the source to be invalid
Why only two channels?
If only two channels are outlined in red, it usually means:
- They are patched to specific inputs (for example, stagebox inputs 15–16) that are currently offline
- Other channels are patched to valid local or connected I/O, so they appear normal
What to check
- Routing → Inputs
Look at what source those channels are assigned to.- I/O / SLink / Dante status pages
Confirm the hardware is connected, powered, and synced.- Clocking & sample rate
Make sure all devices are running at the same sample rate and clock source.- Stagebox presence
Verify the expected stagebox model is detected by Avantis.
