Xone 92 scaring me

I have a wonderful xone 92 that is scaring me.

Input channel 4 has never worked.

Now when power is removed from mixer channel 4 level spikes to a very high level and pops the audio output. I have to make sure all the amplifiers are off to prevent damage. I have tried to insert the dummy plugs into Input channel 4 but it makes no difference.

Can you suggest a solution? I would be okay with disabling Input channel 4 completely.
