Xone 96- how to route FX pedal to mic?

Hope you’re all well :slight_smile:

Wanting to put FX on the vocal going through the Xone 96 mic input and wondering if this is possible. it’s a Boss VO1 Vocoder pedal that I’d like to put on a microphone that would then run into the mic input.

Can anyone advise quite how to get this running via the send/return? Tried a few configurations but not sure if send/return for FX will work if the channel A or B is also being used for a microphone.

Understand this is a pretty rogue setup - I guess it other worlds, I’d buy a separate preamp for a mic and run it independently, but given the Xone is in the house it feels a little extra to be buying more gear.
