This is my first post here, and it’s done for a product that I was very excited about unfortunately.
I have used a Xone K1 controller with Traktor for almost 10 years and beside a few build quality issues I was very pleased with the experience.
When the K3 was announced I was of course eager to get my hands on it because it promised to do everything that the K1 did, but with better build quality and customization features.
As many other people are reporting - I am now having LED feedback issues on the same mapping that I used on the K1 for all this time without any issues.
Some of the mapped controls that worked on the K1 now cause issues on the K3 as it seems that the Send Monitor State feature is not working the same as it did on the K1.
This is all while having the K2 Factory Mapping selected in the Controller Editor, and no changes made there whatsoever.
I have thought about remapping the controller from scratch but I really don’t want to do that since I noticed that many other users are having the same issues.
LEDs remain ON when they shouldn’t or they don’t change colors at all when on the K1 that wasn’t an issue.
I am writing this thread while also having a ticket opened with A&H in order to hopefully raise awareness on the issue.
It would be for the best if A&H treated this as a general problem and admit that the K3 came out of the box with issues for Traktor users (which ironically is the type of user they were aiming for)
I see that at this time they are requesting TSI mappings from all users which reported this (myself included), and I find this to be useless since the same mappings worked perfectly fine on either K1 or K2.
A&H, please see this as the issue it is and release a firmware update that will sort this out!
