I’ve just received my Xone K3 and i’m going a little crazy trying to get a mapping working in Trakor 4 following tutorials based on the K2. It seems like there are some key differences due to the USB-C interface perhaps. Before I consider returning it, is there a TSI on the way from A&H? I’ve heard as much in a YouTube video.
I would love this too - I have just unboxed my K3 and have no experience mapping anything before. I saw that on the DJ City review of the K3 that theres apparently a plug’n’play or new TSI on the way?
I’ve got something working. Download the X2 Traktor 3 mapping from here: https://www.allen-heath.com/hardware/legacy-products/xonek2/resources/
Then change the K3 to MIDI channel 14 and Latching Layer mode to number 2 via the Power On Setup (instructions for this are in the PDF from above).
Import the TSI into Traktor from the Traktor Controller Manager and change the In and Out port on both Deck A and B to your K3.
I would still like a mapping from A&H for the K3 though.
The first thing you should do when you buy a K3 is download the latest version of the “Xone Controller Editor” software and update the controller’s firmware. Then the K2 mappings will be 100% compatible. I use one from prodjmaps.com specifically for the K3, and it works perfectly.
Thanks for that mapping recommendation. Just bought it and it’s very nice.
