Windows 11 does not recognize nor find any driver pilot for my ZED-R16 plugged into my Firewire PCIe card. Which driver should I use ?
My Firewire controller is a compatible TI XIO2213 PCI Express
I already checked and used all the resources and done what i was supposed to do
But it doesn’t work. I guess you did something wrong.
What i’ve done :
- uninstalled
- installed the Allen and Heath Firewire app
- reboot PC
- turned on ZED-R16
- then plugged the Firewire
- Device Manager still the same error Code 39
@frankm seems like it works for you with Windows 11. We have the same PCIe card. Any tips for me, please ?
Ok, so, now it works with Windows 11 !
After 2 hours of intense efforts, using a good friend of mine, using himself ChatGPG with talent ![]()
So, I will be quick (because English is not my first language and I don’t even clearly know what we have done).
- We had to use and keep the standard Windows IEEE driver, works fine (the legacy one is not working)
- go into Security Windows, disabled MEMORY INTEGRITY to resoled the Allen & Heath FIREWIRE soundcard driver error Code 39 (this one is very tricky)
- install the A&H Driver
- then install ASIO4ALL (don’t know if it was necessary)
- we had a WDM problem in the Allen & Heath FIREWIRE application so we had to
- install VOICE MEETER STANDARD (i don’t know what my friend have done with it) to enable WDM and ASIO
- enable DIG RET Pre-INS on the first two channel mix table
- …and it works !
Hope this help someone one day.

The firmware was not updated, that’s the real reason why I had so many problems
No need to use Voicemeeter. Still needed to disabled Integrity Core Memory to let the driver work properly with Windows 11.
Now everything works fine.
I finally went victorious ![]()
Every time i start my PC, the driver keeps working.
I wrote a french tutorial. It is hours of research… Too lazy to translate to english, sorry not sorry, but whatever IA translator should do the job.
