I have an older model ZED10FX. When I go to set the Gain and use the Listen switch I am now getting intermittent cut out, the level meter ceases to light up and sound is sketchy. When I listen to the main mix through speakers all seems well. It just seems to be a poor connection on the PFL line. Anybody know where to start? I have cleaned inside, checked for blown capacitors and resistors etc. No burn marks although I did smell the odour of something burnt. Am now in France a long way from the service centre here and will have to continue for now as gigs coming up soon. Any advice greatly appreciated. Oh I unplugged all connectors on the ribbon and card and re-seated them all. It has been over 12 years being used in a hot and dry location. Cheers Ian
Looks like I solved it. All the small microswitches were stuttering. A few clicks up and down on each and a bit of blowing seemed to clear out any debris/dust inside and now they all function without problem. As simple as that and the old workhorse is back in action.
