Zed12FX USB not showing in Windows

I Have 3 Zed12FX units that i use for karaoke.
they all plug into 3 different laptops (as i have 3 different rigs)
The Mixer does not show up in Windows at all, none of the 3.
i reached out to A&H directly and was told the mixer has a fault.
all 3 have the same fault so i don’t see how that can be a fault of every mixer.
i CAN get them to be identified by windows as long as i install the Behringer USB drivers first. Then it shows up as a Behringer interface.
If i uninstall the Behringer driver, none of the mixers can be seen or used.
i just want to use the standard Windows driver as i think the Behringer is less than ideal.
what options are there to make the mixer class compliant and noticed by Windows?

Hi Paradigm Karaoke

As you say, it is unlikely that there is a hardware issue with all 3.
The ZED-12FX USB interface is already class compliant though, and should appear in Windows or Mac (or even work connected to a tablet or phone).
If it wasn’t suggested by the person you spoke with, have you tried another computer or device to rule out something with the computer?

Thanks,
Keith.

hi Keith
yes, i have used other computers as all 3 use 3 different computers and the result is the same on all of them
HP, AMD Ryzen7 5700u 16 thread, 32GB ram
Windows just does not recognize them
however, i CAN get it recognized if i install the generic Behringer Drivers.

Hi,

Please contact us directly via support.allen-heath.com with more details on the system (you can also reference this thread) and we can look into this with you.
I wonder if there is some strange conflict with the other driver being installed/removed.

Thanks,
Keith
