FEATURE REQUEST: Expander mode in the gate section.
I work with a several groups that rely heavily on electric guitar and keyboard swells as part of their sound. I much prefer the use of a 2:1 or 3:1 expander instead of a gate to reduce the buzz and hum that comes with electric guitar rigs, as I’ve found an expander to be significantly more “musical” than a gate on these instruments, especially during the transition between “closed” and “open”.
Having moved to SQ from a “cheaper brand” that had the expander option in the gate section, this is one feature I used heavily and miss greatly!

Agree, would love to see a ducker in the traditional location of the gate, so as to not use up the compressor slot.

Expander is much more discreet when operating
Well the A&H Primary Source Expander Deep plugin has made it to the DLive and now Avantis. I don’t think it is too much of a stretch to think it will eventually make it down to the SQ as an optional plugin.
I agree that it was a very needed addition.

Frankly, I was surprised it was not included in the recent (March 2023) firmware upgrade.
