The Power supply for my CQ18T let me down at a gig this morning. It is not powering the unit. I tried three different power cables to make sure it was the power supply that was faulty.
I contacted Gear4Music since I bought the unit from them abouT a replacement but the don’t know if or when the can get one from Allen & Heath. Not very good in the way of after sales service.
Sorry it sounds like you’ve had an issue with your CQ PSU.
We do keep them in stock and available to our distribution partners, so there is no reason dealers should not be able to get hold of them too.
Part number is AM12199
Hello friends,
I also experience a power supply failure on my CQ18T. So I’m going to try to get one on Amazon (or something else).
But, what is the exact type of the plug entering the console.
Thank you for your help and Merry Christmas everyone.

It just stopped working. No real reason for it just dying. The unit was powered down correctly on next power up nothing. On closer inspection, the power supply is a.FiDUS Chinese made unit and only ran for 16 weeks before packing up. I bought the CQ from Scan and their solution is to send the whole unit back (mixer as well) for scrutiny. This takes 4 to 6 weeks.
I would like to see a power supply that is fit for purpose and has a locking connector. I also suggest if you purchase a CQ unit that you invest in a spare power supply they range from about £12 to 50
I am a pro audio engineer that is not happy to be put in this position at a live show.
I am testing with succes a spare power supply from amazon, it is a NAS power supply, 12v 5A, grounded (with earth on the main wall socket).
As a pro user, you can buy 2 of them and for only a few bucks you’ll be happy again.
This thread has me thinking it may be a good idea to go ahead and buy a 12V 8A power supply to use as the primary and have the original as a backup. If the 5A versions are failing maybe it’s drawing more current than advertised. I’m not an electronics engineer though, it’s just a hunch.
