Expander setting for gate processing

An expander setting on gate processing is the only thing I feel SQ is missing. Why is this basic piece of processing missing while even Behringer X-Air has it?

There are already several such suggestions - the oldest of them are almost as old as the console itself.
Perhaps this 6.5-year-old one has the most votes:

Will we get an expander (maybe the gate can be changed into an expander) on the SQ? Keith? anyone?

FEATURE REQUEST: Expander mode in the gate section. I work with a several groups that rely heavily on electric guitar and keyboard swells as part of their sound. I much prefer the use of a 2:1 or 3:1 expander instead of a gate to reduce the buzz and hum that comes with electric guitar rigs, as I’ve found an expander to be significantly more “musical” than a gate on these instruments, especially during the transition between “closed” and “open”.
