Our client & partners often need to coordinate shutting down their console with powering down their sound system. We use the GPIO/X to cue our power sequencer (often a qsys controller) to sequence the power down once the console has been shut down. (using the static GPIO). However, it would be amazing if we could tell the console to shut down with a GPIO command. Please consider adding “Shut Down” to the list of items we can trigger via a GPIO.
Here’s the User Story: As a sound operator, I need to power down my sound system and shut down my console, preferably with a single action. My external system power management device should be able to trigger my console to shut down via a GPI, and my console should be able to report that it has shut down via a GPO. That way, I can put my console on the power sequencing controller, have it power up my console, and shut it down gracefully with the rest of the sound system.
