I am not a fan of the “Easy Verb” and other “simplified” FX controls. To me the existing controls don’t really make anything easier for the novice and they don’t give users who understand reverb the controls they need.
The reverb controls I’d prefer to see would be…
- Reverb type/character selection (Plate, spring, chamber, room, hall)
- High Pass Freq
- Pre-delay - early reflections
- Pre-delay - reverb
- Reverb time
Maybe some advanced features
- Hi/Low balance
- Hi/Low xover frequency
- ER length
And it would be great if I could label my FX channels - Drum Verb, Voc Dly, etc.
