Important feature for me… Coming from a Ui24r. On the UI24 I can open a menu for an Aux and link it’s master fader to the Main L&R. I set the volumes for say bass and kick and floor tom, maybe keys in the Aux as I want them in the Sub. When I increase or decrease the L&R Master Vol, the Volume lf the sub tracks that up or down.
Note: The mix going to my subs is completely independent of the mix going to the mains.
So any overall volume changes. Bringing a band up or down happens at the Main L&R fader. I never touch the AUX fader by itself. It is literally linked to the Main…
Is there any way of getting that to work on a CQ-18T?
Thanks. I didn’t want to burn a DCA on this but the AUX fed thing is more critical. I appreciate the suggestion. Hopefully the powers in CQ development will get the message and implement a better answer and save a DCA for me. Until then, I’ll give this a shot.
Just got my CQ and was shocked when I found I couldn’t have the Main and Sub work together. No brainer in my thinking.
I wouldn’t have even thought it would or could be an issue. I come from a Tascam Model 16 and thought I would give one of these a try. Much smaller no mechanical sliders to fail or get scratchy. My rig is a permanent home setup and my mixer is, for the most part, a set it and forget it most of the time except for the volume. And that ended up being the one thing that this highly configurable mixer fails at. Go figure.
Other than that really digging it. More so once I figure how I want to deal with this issue.
Thankfully my needs are simple. Yet I bought this along with having an FX3 Turbo. Way more options than I need by a mile.
For the most part I just need a hub to get everything evenly funneled into my PAs. Oh and Sub. And of course be able to adjust the volume on the fly without having to menu dive and be on the right page to do so. Especially having to do two sliders every time I simply want to turn up or down the volume a bit, sub included.
Thought they would have a dedicated volume knob too. Was a bit put back by this until I found you can set up one of the smaller knobs to be just that. So that is fine.
All the other fiddly bits are just a plus if I feel like digging into them for some reason.
OK, using the DCA workaround. It would work but unfortunately there isn’t an option to map it to a soft rotary like I could with the main.
Getting a bit miffed that something so expected and routine is so overlooked.
We have to use a workaround for a simple and obvious bonding of main and sub. But then the door is slammed back in our face when expecting to simply have a dedicated or soft rotary bond to control A-number 1…volume. Control the DCA slider.
Is this not a common expectation, or am I just weird? Wanting a volume without menu diving on a screen. There should have been a dedicated volume.
Or am I missing yet another option?
Debating returning this thing. Shame, other than this issue it will work fine for me.

Linking an aux volume slider position to the position of the Master
Selectable, steeper LPF and HPF filters. These are also necessary for AUX fed subs
You can also UP Vote my ask for a Reverb where the parameters are accessible. All I really want is one where I can get some of the typical basics like pre- delay.
